Lead Educator in Kingfisher for 6 Weeks to 15 months
I believe that early childhood is precious and a vital time in children’s learning and development. Therefore, as an Early Childhood Educator, I will facilitate children’s learning by planning a stimulating environment with play-based experiences appropriate for children’s holistic development.
I aim to provide a happy and positive atmosphere where smiles and laughter are encouraged every day, where we focus on the children’s strengths and where children develop a sense of wonder and a love of learning.
I believe that children learn best when they establish secure and trusting relationships with caring and responsive adults, so that they are happy and confident to explore and play.
I value supportive partnerships with families where we share our knowledge and understandings. I respect that families are the child’s first and most influential educators.
I acknowledge that every child is unique and by working together with families we can enhance children’s learning and wellbeing with respect to their individual culture, needs and goals.

Lead Educator in Lorikeets for 15 months to 24 months
I believe that each is an individual that needs the assurance of being loved and cared for while they are enjoying an educational environment. As an educator I will value and develop each child’s individual strengths and extend on their interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to further their learning.
The early years of a child’s life are busy; children are competent and capable learners and I believe the environment plays a major role in success of an early childhood program. I value the importance of the environment and the role it takes on furthering the child’s development.
I create a unique, challenging, inviting and homely environment that indirectly encompasses an atmosphere for children to earn and grow organically.
Building trusting relationships with families is one of my greatest skills and in doing so I am better able to nourish and consider each child as a whole, from home life to care.
Children should be given choices, responsibilities and opportunities to invest in their own learning and I hold their input in the highest of regard.
My aim is to create an interesting program for children, work with families and fellow educator’s to be the best and most effective Early Childhood Educator I can be.

I believe in using children’s individual interests from inside and outside the service within the learning environments and educational program.I understand the importance of children being provided with processed and natural materials to enable them to develop an understanding of their world around them.

Lead Educator of Cassowary Room
Over 36 months
Hello, my name is Courtney and I have worked in Early Childhood education for 11 years. I met Leanne before Greenspace opened in 2018 and I knew instantly that our philosophies aligned, and we would be able to create something incredible not just for children but families and staff alike. My personal philosophy is derived from my strong view, that children learn through play and by taking calculated risks within their environments. My pedagogy is child centred, it encourages and nurtures diversity, problem solving, effective communication and the promotion of acceptance, respect and responsibility. I build strong relationships with children and families so that we can best nurture growth and development as a team. I strongly feel that by creating warm, real, homely, interesting and diverse environments for children we can directly teach valuable life skills without interrupting individual exploration and learning.

Educator for Emu Room – Qld Government Approved Kindy programme
I believe that children are infinitely unique and capable, and are experts at guiding their own learning by engaging with the world around them, and processing this information through play. Play is instinctive and is a natural process that allows children to practice skills, negotiate risks, develop critical thinking skills, engage in creativity, discover new ideas and become lifelong learners.
I believe children thrive in spaces that promote wonder, excitement and opportunities to participate in real life experiences, using real tools and materials. By doing so, children are able to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of identity that connects them to the centre, the community and to the world.
As a teacher, I believe my role is to guide children through their own natural learning progression and to support all areas of a child’s development in a time and place that makes sense to the child. I believe in giving children the space to thrive, opportunities to create a sense of belonging, and experiences that establish a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
I believe it takes a village to raise a child and therefore, the family unit are critical as co- teachers of their children. Connecting with, and working alongside families offers unique opportunities for families and educators to grow and support one another in a trusting and honest relationship, using open and regular communication. It also allows families to share their culture, expectations and dreams for their children.
I believe that being a part of our community is essential in teaching children to be active leaders, and to contribute to and learn about the world around them, including a mutual respect for the environment and fellow community members.
